Scott Kolbe Elected Alderman in Dardenne Prairie
On April 6, 2004, Scott Kolbe was elected to the Dardenne Prairie Board of Alderman. His seat is in Ward 1, and he is taking over the position previously held by Pat Merz, who did not seek re-election.
“I am extremely pleased to have been elected,” commented Kolbe. “This is an incredible opportunity to serve the citizens of Dardenne Prairie and St. Charles County.”
Kolbe attributes his victory to grass roots campaign efforts. He spent many weekends before the election knocking on doors and talking with as many residents of Ward I as possible. “One thing that was repeated by most of the citizens I spoke with was the desire to look to the future. We’re experiencing a lot of change and growth here in Dardenne Prairie. People accept this, and simply want to make sure that it’s done right,” said Kolbe.
Kolbe has quickly gained the trust and confidence of his fellow Aldermen. The night he was sworn into office, he was appointed to represent the Board on the Dardenne Prairie Planning and Zoning Commission.
Kolbe brings extensive business and community experience to his new position as Alderman. He is the Vice President of Kolbeco Marketing Resources, a full-service marketing firm based in Dardenne Prairie which he owns with his wife, Lauren. Kolbe is also active in the St. Charles County EDC Executive Forum, the St. Charles and St. Peters Chambers of Commerce, Business Network International, and the Public Relations Society of America.
