Annual Fundraiser Collects Supplies and Donations for Stray Rescue of St. Louis
November 11, 2011, St. Louis – The holiday season is quickly approaching and the Kolbeco Marketing Resources employees and their dogs, affectionately known as the Board of Dogrectors, are once again preparing for their annual drive to benefit Stray Rescue of St. Louis. Now in its third year, Frills for Furbabies has raised more than $7,500 in donations and supplies to benefit the non-profit, no-kill animal shelter.
From November 14 through December 14, the drive will collect the supplies and monetary donations that are so desperately needed to enable the shelter to continue to provide the food, medical care and shelter to the homeless, neglected and abused animals of St. Louis.
“Kolbeco is a pet-friendly workplace, on any given day clients and visitors may encounter up to seven dogs roaming our office, including several Stray Rescue adoptees and the occasional Stray Rescue foster. However, we realize that not all dogs experience the love and care that our pets and fosters receive,” says Lauren Kolbe, owner of Kolbeco Marketing Resources. “We so admire what Stray Rescue does for the animals of our area and we’re happy to support them anyway we can.”
Local companies are also encouraged to participate. Businesses of all sizes can choose to host their own Canine Corporate Challenge, an on-site donation drive, with supplies provided by Kolbeco or they can host a Casual Day for a Stray, giving employees the option to dress down for a day in exchange for their monetary donation. All proceeds from both programs will be picked up by members of the Kolbeco team and added to the items and donations collected at participating locations and will be presented to Stray Rescue on December 16.
Supply and monetary donations will be accepted at several partner locations in addition to the Kolbeco offices, including both locations of Four Muddy Paws, all locations of Treats Unleashed, Airedale Antics, Lola and Penelope’s, Wolfgang’s Pet Stop, Westinn Kennels and Three Dog Bakery.
