Dardenne Prairie, MO – July 9, 2008: Kolbeco was pleased to celebrate the groundbreaking of Watson Stadium at Barat Academy on Wednesday, July 9, 2008. Watson Stadium is the next phase of the construction of Barat Academy, which opened its doors to the founding freshman class this past school year.
On hand for the groundbreaking were members of the Barat Board of Directors, Faculty, the donors who made the stadium possible, and many students from the incoming 9th and 10th grade classes. In addition, clients of Kolbeco’s Jane Higgins, Laurence Maroney of the New England Patriots and Will Franklin of the Kansas City Chiefs, along with their trainer Coach Ford, were on hand to man honorary shovels for the groundbreaking event. They also shared stories, posed for photographs, and signed Barat hats for students, parents and friends in attendance.

Watson Stadium will feature a lighted multi-use synthetic turf competition field for outdoor sports including-football, soccer, lacrosse, field hockey, as well as an 8 lane competition track. The stadium is scheduled for completion by the start of the 08-09 school year.
